Antietam events

Programs at Antietam National Battlefield will be geared toward middle-schoolers. Parents and visitors of all ages are welcome. Park rangers will lead two programs:

- Cannoneers to Your Post - Led by park rangers, children will do a Civil War drill with artillery implements using one of the park's cannons. (The cannon will not be fired.)

- Flags That Talk - Park rangers will help children send and receive messages the way Civil War armies did using signal flags and cipher disks.

Programs start today at 10 a.m. and last 90 minutes. Meet at Antietam National Battlefield Visitor Center. If it rains, programs will be canceled. Call 301-432-5124.

Outdoor Heritage Days

Activities include children's fishing, a BASS kids casting competition, children's archery, turkey-calling contest, reptiles, a climbing wall, shooting opportunities and "how-to" seminars. Nashville artist Josh Turner will present a concert on Saturday evening. Today, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fort Loudon Historical Fort site, off U.S. 30, west of Chambersburg, Pa. $5, free for ages 12 and younger. Tickets for the Josh Turner concert cost $15 and include free admission to the festival. Concert tickets should be purchased prior to the show. Wolfsville heritage

Sponsored by the Wolfsville Ruritan. Artifacts and memorabilia from the Wolfsville area will be displayed. Items include tools and farm equipment, vintage cars and tractors and other local items of interest. Food will be served by the Ruritan. Motorcycle races

Concert at the park

Handbell concert

Ballroom dance
