July 30, 2004|by JULIE E. GREENE

The Washington County Commissioners appointed two men to the Pen Mar Development Corporation's board of directors on Thursday.

George Stone, owner of Building Systems Inc., will fill the remainder of Steve Hull's unexpired term, County Clerk Joni Bittner said. The term expires June 30, 2005.

The appointment was approved by a 4-0 vote with County Commissioner James F. Kercheval abstaining because his wife works for Stone, Bittner said.

Cascade resident John "Jack" Simpson, who works for the National Cancer Institute, was appointed to a new four-year term, Bittner said.
