Children of St. Lawrence employees participate in program

St. Lawrence Cement is employing 16 children this summer under a program aimed at helping employees' children further their educations.

The interns, under the supervision of yard supervisor Ralph Belin, perform a variety of tasks.

The interns are:

- Stephen Heagy II, a finance and math student at the University of Maryland. He is the son of Steve Heagy.

- Matthew J. Belin, an administration of justice student at Hagerstown Community College. He is the son of Ralph J. Belin.

- Tara Yost, a communications arts student at Salisbury (Md.) University. She is the daughter of Terry Yost.

- David D. Wood, a secondary education student at Shippensburg (Pa.) University. He is the son of Gene Basore.

- Krystal Ritchie, an accounting student at Shippensburg University. She is the daughter of Sam Ritchie.

- Brittany Nigh, a criminal justice/forensic science student at Hagerstown Community College. She is the daughter of Marlene Middlekauff.

- Brandon Nigh, an administration of justice student at Hagerstown Community College. He is the son of Marlene Middlekauff.

- Ellery Hanlin, an industrial and systems engineering student at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. She is the daughter of Deborah Hanlin.

- Jessica Hanlin, who is planning to study communications at either Syracuse (N.Y.) University or the University of North Carolina. She is the daughter of Deborah Hanlin.

- Anna Hanlin, a nursing student at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va. She is the daughter of JoAnn Forsyth.

- Branden Eyler, an administration of justice student at Hagerstown Community College. He is the son of Larry Eyler.

- Zachary A. Camp, a pastoral student at Antietam Bible College. He is the son of John Camp.

- Krystal L. Bristow, a graphic design student at Hagerstown Community College. She is the daughter of Steven Bhyne.

- Christopher Baker, an administration of justice student at Hagerstown Community College. He is the son of Robert Baker.

- John F. Baliga Jr., a business and finance student at Hagerstown Community College. He is the son of John F. Baliga Sr.

- Jessica Becker, an elementary education student at Hagerstown Community College. She is the daughter of Rick L. Becker.
