Antietam Review invites poetry, fiction submissions

Entries will be accepted through Sept. 1 for Antietam Review's annual literary contest for short fiction and poetry.

The winning prize for fiction is $150 and publication in the 2005 issue of Antietam Review. Winning prize for poetry is $100 and publication in the 2005 issue of Antietam Review. All entries will be considered for publication. There is no specific theme.

Contributors may submit one entry for fiction. Editors are seeking quality fiction of fewer than 5,000 words. Short stories are preferred; however, a novel excerpt is considered, if it works as an independent piece. Contributors may submit three poems. Editors are seeking well-crafted pieces of no more than 30 lines.

A $15 reading fee applies for all entries. Three poems are considered one fee. Make check payable to Antietam Review, Attention: Fiction Editor or Poetry Editor, 41 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Submit entries with a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Otherwise, submitted material will not be returned.
