Bridge repairs to begin today

WILLIAMSPORT - The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park will begin repairs to the Salisbury Street Bridge today.

The repairs will require intermittent closing of the bridge to vehicular traffic on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., but will be limited to 15-minute periods. The repairs should take approximately one week to complete.

The canal will remain open and the bridge work will not cause detours to the towpath.
