Editor's note - Please be as brief as possible when calling Mail Call, The Daily Mail's reader call-in line.

You are welcome to leave a recorded message on any subject, but some calls will be screened out.

Here are some of the calls we have received lately:

"John Kerry picked a good running mate when he picked John Edwards, who by the way has as much experience as Bush did when he ran for president. Except, at least Edwards has been in Congress where as Bush was governor of Texas. If you would look up the history of the governors of Texas, they don't do a whole lot. Their staff does most of everything, which by the way, seems to be how it works for Bush now. He doesn't have to take any liability for anything that goes wrong, like this war on Iraq. Way to go, it's really going great, more than 850 soldiers dead, not one weapon of mass destruction found. Stop the lies, bring the soldiers home."

"Congrats to the Pony League Firefighters for winning the championship. You are No. 1, guys. We are so proud of each and every one of you. All of you are All-Stars in our eyes. We would also like to thank their coaches, Mark, Mike and Mark Jr., for all their hard work and dedication. You had a great season. Way to go, Firefighters."

"Thanks, Chris Copley, for the freedom article in the paper on Sunday, July 4. True, clever and informative."

"I would like to know how President Bush and Vice President Cheney are running all over the country with his negative talk about John Kerry and John Edwards. Where does he get the right to bash these people? Kerry is a wonderful man. The only time Bush tells the truth is when a lie doesn't suit a purpose and that is just about all the time. This is about the worst, corrupt bunch of people in Washington."

"Every day you hear on the radio, on TV or in the paper that more of our boys have been injured or slaughtered in this so-called useless war. Danger is all around us now, not only in Iraq, but in our country as a result of this ongoing war over there. Why didn't President Bush just let a sleeping giant lay? He just stirred up an ant's nest. We will never get rid of terrorists. Why can't he realize this?"

"My name is Linda and I would like to know who to write to about the vehicle registration price being raised. This is ridiculous. What about the poor, the people who live on a fixed income and the ones who just can't afford this?"

"Congrats to both teams in the Pony League Championships Series, Firefighters and F&M. This was sportsmanship."
