WAYNESBORO, Pa. - 29th Division Association breakfast meeting, Wednesday, July 14, 8 a.m., Mountain Gate Restaurant, Buchanan Trail East. Benefit auction

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - For the benefit of the Clinic for Special Children in Strasburg, Pa., Saturday, July 17, breakfast, 7 a.m., auction at 9 a.m., Shippensburg Auction Center (Leinbach's), one mile north of Shippensburg on U.S. 11. Businesses and individuals are encouraged to donate usable items or gift certificates. Items to be auctioned include quilts, crafts, furniture, plants, tools, new express wagons, new all terrain tricycle and more. Ice cream social and book sale

BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT, Pa. - Saturday, July 17, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Blue Ridge Summit Free Library. More than 1,000 books will be available. Locally-made ice cream, music and fire truck rides will be featured. There also will be a white elephant sale. Food available will include hot dogs, steamers, nachos, snacks, beverages, funnel cake and other baked goods. Admission is free. Proceeds from sales will benefit the library. Chicken barbecue
