Two are injured in Thursday crash in Pa.


WILLOW HILL, Pa. ? Two passengers suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident Thursday along Pa. 75, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Police said in a release that Cory Nathan Hockenberry, 18, of Amberson, Pa., was driving north on Pa. 75 when he made a left turn to enter the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Lori Ann Cook, 31, of Amberson, was driving south on Pa. 75 when Hockenberry pulled in front of her vehicle, leading to a collision.

Cook's vehicle had four passengers, at least three of which were children, according to police information.

Hockenberry, Lori Cook, Brandon Cook, 12, and Trevor Vance Resinger, 10, were not injured, police said. Lindsay Nicole Karper, 14, and Elena Waters, unknown age and address, suffered minor injuries.

Man charged with discharging fireworks


FREDERICK, Md. ? Police said a Frederick man was charged with illegally shooting off fireworks at his home Thursday afternoon.

David Edward Paul Colbert, 30, of 7727 McKaig Road, was charged with discharging fireworks without a permit and possession of fireworks with the intent to discharge them, according to a release from the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.

Police said they were called to 7727 McKaig Road for a report of bottle rockets being fired. Police said they found several spent bottle rockets in the home's front and back yard, including in a closed-in porch.
