CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Two people were named to administrative positions in the Jefferson County Schools system Tuesday.

Susan Wall, the principal at Jefferson High School, was named the new associate superintendent for curriculum and instruction, said Jefferson County Superintendent of Schools R. Steven Nichols. She has been with the school system for several years, serving as a teacher, guidance counselor and principal, Nichols said.

Wall will replace Beverly Hughes, who recently retired from the position.

Oscar Robertson was named associate superintendent for operations, a new position, Nichols said.

He will oversee all operations outside the classroom, such as finance, transportation and food service, Nichols said. The position was created as a result of a personnel audit performed recently in the school system, he said.

Robertson is from southcentral Virginia and brings extensive business and public school experience to the position, Nichols said.
