W.Va. man is sentenced on multiple counts

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Martinsburg man who pleaded guilty to drug and gun charges in the Martinsburg area stemming from an October 2003 incident was sentenced to 117 months in prison, according to a news release from the office of United States Attorney Thomas E. Johnston.

Winchester A. Hopkins, 20, of 1145 Holiday Road previously had pleaded guilty to one count each of distribution of crack cocaine and possession of a firearm during and in relation to drug trafficking crime in United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, according to the release.

He was sentenced Tuesday by Judge W. Craig Broadwater.
