Schools set Accent on Achievement

FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick County Public Schools, in collaboration with Frederick Community College, Hood and Mount Saint Mary's College, invite parents, community members, and anyone who works in education or with children to its sixth annual Accent on Achievement: Summer Institute 2004. Registration is free and has begun for this year's institute, scheduled for Aug. 11-13 at Mount Saint Mary's College.

Keynote speakers are Dr. Rich Allen, Aug. 11; Murray Banks, Aug. 12; and Dr. Ruby Payne, Aug. 13. Keynote addresses begin at 8:30 a.m. and are open to the public without registration. After each day's keynote address, participants can attend free sessions from 100 topics geared for all education employees but also open to parents and the public.
