Anniversary Announcements for June 19

The Butlers

Doris and Robert Butler Sr. of Hagerstown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception in their honor at the Plaza Hotel on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004. The event was hosted by their children and spouses, Robert Jr. and Robyn Butler, Michael Butler, Lisa and Randy Bradley, and Richard and Angie Butler, all of Hagerstown. The celebration began with a renewal of their wedding vows, officiated by the Rev. Robert Barton of Grace United Methodist Church in Hagerstown.

The Butlers were married Jan. 23, 1954, by the Rev. Carrol at Howard Street Meth-odist Church in Hagerstown.

Mrs. Butler is the daughter of the late Claude and Naomi Witmer Yowler and the late Harold "Gene" Witmer. She was employed by J.J. Newberry and retired from CVS Pharmacy in Hagerstown.

Mr. Butler is the son of the late Paul and Edna Butler Ridgeway. He was employed for many years with Hagers-town Dairy and was a driver for Ringer's Laundry. He retired from the Maryland Correctional Training Center in Hagerstown.


They have seven grandchildren.

The Hamiltons

Tim and Robbin Hamilton celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at Richardson's Restaurant in Hagerstown. The event was hosted by their children, China and Tim, and his parents, Paul and Mary Hamilton.

The Hamiltons were married Feb. 3, 1979, at First Brethren Church by the late Rev. John Mills.

Mrs. Hamilton is employed at Emma K. Doub Elementary School.

Mr. Hamilton is employed by Columbia Gas Co.
