You are welcome to leave a recorded message on any subject, but some calls will be screened out.

Here are some of the calls we have received lately:

"When are they going to do something about the streets back in Woodmore, off Halfway Boulevard? It's like you are driving on an old world country road. Nothing that would be in the United States. I have lived back here for 27 years and they have never repaved the streets back here, all they do is patch them."

"Give me a break. I read in Mail Call about what people said about Reagan and Clinton. Why do people have to keep focusing on the bad things? Remember and think about the good things. Isn't there enough bad in the world now to have to focus on when people die and people want to drag out the bad things they did? Are you perfect. Don't think so."

"To the person complaining about the funeral of Ronald Reagan: Don't you know that you are only a good president when you are dead?"

"To the people complaining about your roads being fixed. This is why the governor has added the extra taxes when you purchase your tags. Oh, but that's right, that only applies to the roads that keep getting repaved every year, not the ones that really need it."

"When is the city going to bring some real jobs to Hagers-town instead of these fast-food joints? How many of them do we really need? How many empty buildings in this town do we really need?"

"Keep complaining about Bush and how terrible he is. You want to criticize the 12 things he has done wrong, why don't you give him praise for the 12 things he has done right. Get your stories together and think about the kind of direction you are showing other people, it's not good."

"Congratulations to Megan and Katie Valentine for graduating. From your Uncle Colby."

"A good way to get ink out of the dryer is just to buy a new one."

"I found a key on High Street on Monday, June 14. If anyone can tell me what is on the key ring, I will give it to you. Call me 301-790-0452, if no answer, leave a message and I will call you back."

"I have to agree with the caller about the Halloween Parade. I think it's time that they do stop the Halloween Parade and put the Christmas Parade back in downtown Hagerstown."

"A very grateful thank you to the person who called in the complete recipe for funnel cakes. Much appreciated."

"It was very nice of the post offices to close for the funeral of former President Ronald Reagan. Thank you."

"Greenberry Hills residents' Neighborhood Watch would like to thank everyone who participated in our very successful yard sale, last Saturday, June 12. Thanks to everyone."
