Anti-abortion activists will display posters of aborted and healthy fetuses Monday along West Washington and Walnut streets in Hagerstown, the director of the display said Friday. The Baltimore-based anti-abortion group Defend Life said it is holding its fourth annual "Face the Truth Tour" through Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. It will stop in Hagerstown Monday between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., tour director Nancy Bradford said.

Bradford said she expects about 100 activists will display posters with photos, including those of dead, aborted fetuses. Bradford said the posters are about 2 feet by 4 feet.

She said the group also has scheduled a box-style truck to come to Hagerstown that will have similar photos on the sides of the truck.

"We want people to look at these pictures and realize that abortion means killing a baby," Bradford said.

City Clerk Donna Spickler said because the group is not planning on shutting down a street, it does not need a permit for its display because it is protected speech.
