June 10, 2004

Mark Kelly has been promoted to the position of director of Facilities Management at The Herald-Mail Company. Hired as Information Systems Manager in April 1999, Kelly was promoted to Operations director, overseeing the Information Technology and Pagination departments, in October of 2001.

In his new capacity, he will oversee all of the company's production departments, IT, the building department and commercial print work.

"Since joining the Herald-Mail, Mark has volunteered to lead some of our most challenging projects, such as the color committee, our conversion to total pagination and a key Partners Program that led to the redesign of our Advertising Department," said Publisher John League. "He's done a fine job with each.

"Technology is also finding its way into many of our production operations, and Mark brings a wealth of knowledge in that area. He's a great leader. He's determined to make things better, and will fight through obstacles to do so," League said.

He lives with his family in Greencastle, Pa.
