Plat for Mount Aetna subdivision tabled

A preliminary plat for five dwelling units in the Mount Aetna subdivision was tabled for 30 days Monday night.

The Washington County Planning Commission tabled the plat because of concerns about whether the area would have enough water for emergencies.

Commission member George Anikis made the motion to table the request until the developer meets with fire crews to come up with a solution.

The subdivision is on the south side of Mount Aetna Road near Md. 66.
