Lotto winner still unknown

No one has come forward with the $9.3 million winning Maryland Lotto ticket sold in Hagerstown, a lottery official said Wednesday. The ticket holder has 182 days to claim his or her winnings, Maryland Lottery spokeswoman Gail Pelovitz said.

"We've had people come right at the very end," she said.

Some winners wait to claim prizes until after they consult with financial advisers. Others may be away on vacation, and at least one family waited until their children were out of school for the year to claim its prize, Pelovitz said.

It's also possible the winner doesn't know he or she won, or the ticket has been misplaced, Pelovitz said.

The winning ticket was sold Saturday at the Giant Eagle at 835 W. Hillcrest Road in Hagerstown.

The winning numbers were 3, 13, 15, 17, 30 and 47.
