FREDERICK, Md. - Berkeley Post 14 beat Frederick Babe Ruth 13-5 at Harry Grove Stadium and later edged Frederick Post 11 6-5 at McCurdy Field for its first wins of the year in the Sonny Blank Memorial Tournament on Sunday.

Josh Lebo had three hits, including two triples, and drove in three runs, while Kenny Remsburg added two hits and three RBI for Berkeley (2-1) in the first game. Kirby Anderson had two hits and Jake Wines and Daniel Wagely each drove in two runs.

Brad Mason struck out seven and had two RBI in the second game. Ronnie Lemon also drove in two runs.


Federal Little League

Exchange 8, Kiwanis 6: Patrick Salvagno homered and Charlie Abeles and Alissa Collier had two hits apiece for Exchange. Jay Donoghue and Christian Snyder each had two hits for Kiwanis.

Rotary 11, Lions 12: Thomas Allen had three hits,while K.C. Niedermeyer and Greg Lynn each had two hits for Lions. Justin Mills hit a grand slam while Chris Bordick had three hits and C.J. Nelling two hits Rotary.

Hagerstown Colt League

FOP 1, UAW 0: Andy Morris hit a leadoff homer and had both hits for FOP. David Plank threw a complete-game six-hitter in the win. Adam Dellinger struck out eight in a two-hitter while Miles Brown had two hits for UAW.

Eagles 7, Steffey-Findlay 4: Andrew Blickenstaff had two hits for Eagles. Lucas Licenburg had two hits for Steffey.

Hagerstown PONY League

Goodwill 11, UAW 9: Chris Reid had two hits for Goodwill. Kim Hamilton had two hits and three RBI and Kyle Cunningham, Adrian Adams and Steve McKimmy each had two hits for UAW.

Elks 16, Jeter 6: Jodi McElroy and Jeremy Smith both homered, while McElroy, Tim Leather, Evan Dixon and David Bowen each had two hits for Elks. Tyler Hornbecker had two hits, including a home run, while Tommy Evans hit a two-run homer for Jeter.

Halfway Little League

Valley Storage Bins 10, Gibney's 6: Aaron Stotlemyer had five hits, including a home run, while Jonathan Adams added two hits for Valley. Josh Green and Jason Hammond had two hits each for Gibney's.

Smithsburg Cal Ripken

Phil & Jerry's 6, Scott's Speed Shop 2: Thomas Smith homered while Smith, Brad Delauder, Blayne Gardenour, and Jose Brand each had two hits for Phil & Jerry's. Aaron Mong, Paul Mose and Jack Hurd each had two hits for Scott's.

Reese's Produce 9, Post 10 0: Adam Schofield and Joe Mignolio each had two hits for Reese's.

Senior Interleague

Cascade American Legion 8, Jeter Paving 5: Joe Minnich and Mitch Walck each had two hits for American Legion. Will Ryanson hit a home run for Jeter, while Kevin Tyler pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts.

Ruritan (Maugansville) 12, Mr. Natural's (Conococheague) 2: Robby Wood had two hits for Ruritan.

Junior Interleague

Redmen 13, Swope's Tire 6: Derek Harrell had three hits and pitched a complete game for Redmen, while Andy Dagenhart had three hits and Dustin Starliper had two hits. Ian Ramsey, David Gray, Evan Reed and Evan Greenwalt each had two hits for Swope's.

Maugansville Junior League

Hagerstown Trust 23, Hagerstown Kitchen 7: Ryan Moser had three hits and Bryan Laferte, Josh Ocafio and Joel Henry each had two hits for Trust. Chase Worthington and John Wentzel each had two hits for Kitchen.

Maugansville Little League

Home Care 15, Ruritan 4: Adam Griemsmann and A.J. Staley each had two hits to lead Home Care. Griemsmann homered. Josh Bachtell had two hits and Zach Snodderly homered for Ruritan.

Conococheague LL

Lions 5, Wolfe's 0: C.J. Hamilton pitched a two-hitter with eight strikeouts and added two hits to lead Lions. Tyler Bowers had three hits.

Hancock Little League

Pirates 7, Yankees 2: Brandon Wertz had three hits to lead the Pirates. Garret Wiles had two hits for the Yankees.

Valley Little League

St. Lawrence Cement 16, Dorsey Bros. 15: Ryne Willard had three hits, including a home run, and drove in five runs for St. Lawrence. Zane Garver had two hits, and drove in the winning run, Jason Kendall had three hits and Johnny Karroll and Jacob Kouff had two hits each. Karroll had four RBI. Kameron Morral had three hits and five RBI for Dorsey and Ryan Hartsock, Ryan Peters and Victor McCormick each had two hits.

Post 211 7, SMRG 4: Cody Shives had two hits for Post 211. Jordan Thurber had two hits, including a home run, for SMRG.

Washington Co. Girls Softball

Taylor's Sluggers 21, Wm. Gower & Sons 0: Christina Mehaffie and Mallory Petty combined to pitch a no-hitter. Diane Draper had two homers and seven RBI and Jessica Morley had two hits.

Mid-Atlantic Orthopedic 10, Scrapmania 9: Rachel Amalfitano had three hits and Caroline Kreiger had two to lead Mid-Atlantic. Jaci Kline and Schnee Keller each had two hits for Scrapmania.

National Little League

AMVETS 19, Long Meadow Exxon 18: Devon Socks had three hits, Daniel Williams had a home run and two hits and Gary Moser had two hits including the game-winner for AMVETS. Randi Wallers had three hits and Joey Keith two hits for Long Meadow.

FOP 5, Crampton 2: Nick Gross had a home run to lead FOP.
