Teen crashes truck into townhouse



FREDERICK, Md. - A 16-year-old boy crashed a pickup truck into a townhouse on Key Parkway Thursday morning, Frederick Police said in a press release.

Police said the boy is from Middletown, Md., but police didn't release his name.

At about 10:45 a.m., the boy lost control of the Chevrolet S-10 Blazer he was driving when he tried to avoid another vehicle, police said.

The boy was charged with negligent driving. He was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital with possible minor neck and back injuries, police said.

No one was in the home when it was hit, but the front was significantly damaged by the truck and a City of Frederick building inspector declared it unsafe, police said.

Thurmont, Md., man charged in assault



FREDERICK, Md. - A man was charged with assaulting his girlfriend on Sagner Court Wednesday, Frederick Police said in a press release.

Officer Michael Lee allegedly saw Christopher Lee Ellis, 18, of Thurmont, Md., sitting in a car with a girl, yelling at her with his fist clenched, police said.

Lee then saw Ellis "jump on top of" the girl, police said.

Police charged Ellis with first-degree assault.

The girl, a minor, had signs of bruises on her arms and both arms and wrists, but didn't need medical care, police said.
