WAYNESBORO - "Fanciful fun" will be the theme of Renfrew Institute's 15th annual Youth Festival on Sunday, May 30, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Renfrew Park. The event is free. The festival provides workshops and activities geared for youngsters. Also, Shawn Ruby, aka "The Harp Lady," will perform at 2:30 p.m.

The Traveling Lantern Theatre Company will present "The Hobbit" at 4:15 p.m. Audience participation is encouraged.

The festival will feature a clothesline exhibit of flags and pennants with family crests. Participants may create their own at home or can make one at the event. Activities will include an obstacle course and a chance to meet some draft horses.

A food stand will be provided, but picnic lunches will be welcome.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at Waynesboro Area Middle School. Space is limited for workshops, and early registration is suggested. For more information or to register, call
