Mercersburg 16 Broadfording 5

MAUGANSVILLE - Mercersburg Academy hit seven home runs, resulting in 12 runs, to roll past Broadfording Christian at Maugansville Senior League field.

Adam Bradtrude and Ethan Cline each homered twice, while Alex Maulucci, Court Shreiner and Lane Radbill added one each for Mercersburg (10-6). Zach Light struck out eight batters in his complete-game victory.

Tyler Duffey had eight strikeouts in four innings of relief for the Lions.


Berk. Springs 10, Petersburg 0

RIDGELEY, W.Va. - Amy Zahnow had three hits to lead Berkeley Springs (19-11) to victory in the Class AA Region I semifinals. Maggie Smith and Jessica Jenkins each added two hits.

Tussey Mtn. 12, S. Fulton 2

SAXTON, Pa. - Candace Bard had two hits and drove in both of Southern Fulton's runs as the Indians (7-11) ended the season with a six-inning loss to Tussey Mountain.

Lions 9, Post 10 1: Adam Griffith tossed a one-hitter, while Tyler Thompson, Scott Haupt and Drew Poulin had two hits each to lead Lions.

Junior Interleague

Redmen 13, Elks 11: Mark Rohrer and Andy Dagenhart had two hits each to lead Redmen. Dustin Pellegrino and Danny Rishell had three hits each for Elks.

American Little League

FOP 6, Thompson's Concrete 5: Zachary Gladhill had two hits for FOP. Nic Stubbs had three hits, while Connor Lachman and James Warrick each had two hits and Darrell Ward struck out 10 for Thompson's Concrete.

Donnie's Plumbing 6, Total Lube 4: Kailey Davis, Dillon Rowe, Cody Reifel and Tanner Castle each had two hits for Donnie's. Christian Buttry, Derek Butler, Ethan Hockenberry and J.R. Crummitt each had two hits for Total Lube.

Sharpsburg Little League

Company One 7, Chase Construction 4: Jake Mann had two hits and Eddie Seabright had a two-run double for Company One. Logan Jamison had two hits for Chase Construction.

South County Junior League

BAAA 7, Post 202 6: Curtis Wolfe struck out 10 and had two hits, while Will Dayhoff hit a two-run homer for BAAA. Stan Hoffman had two hits for Post 202.

Washington Co. Girls Softball Elementary Division

Builders' First Source 10, FOP 9: Jessica McCarthy had two hits for Builders'. Danielle Dayhoff and Faith Ricker each homered and Amanda Mentzer had two hits for FOP.

Crampton 5, AMVETS 3: Aaron Roby had the game-winning RBI for Crampton.
