McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - A Michigan woman was killed and her son was injured Tuesday in a one-car accident on a slick Interstate 70, a mile from the Pennsylvania-Maryland state line, Pennsylvania State Police at McConnellsburg said.
Sarah A. Gray, 65, of Charlotte, Mich., was pronounced dead at the scene of the 6:50 p.m. crash on westbound I-70, said Pennsylvania State Police Cpl. John Lawler.
Lawler said Gray died of massive head trauma when her 1996 Cadillac sedan slid on the wet road surface, struck a berm, traveled up an embankment and overturned.
Lawler said Gray was thrown from the Cadillac.
Lawler said Abraham Gray, 45, of Manheim, Pa., was injured in the crash. Lawler said he was taken to Washington County Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
