Five hunting rifles stolen in break-in


Maryland State Police are investigating a break-in that happened at a home in Keedysville from which $20 in change and five hunting rifles were stolen.

The break-in happened between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday at a home in the 3900 block of Trego Mountain Road, according to a press release from Maryland State Police.

The burglar cut a screen and then raised an unlocked window on the front porch, police said. The change from taken from a jewelry box in a bedroom and the rifles were taken from the house's basement, police said.
