Charges in stabbing sent to circuit court



Assault charges against a Hagerstown man in connection with a March 13 stabbing at a hotel have been forwarded to Washington County Circuit Court, court records say.

Washington County District Court Judge Ralph H. France II found probable cause during a preliminary hearing Wednesday on four charges against Robert K Jordan, 43, of Augusta, Ga., records say.

Records say Jordan was charged with two counts each of first- and second-degree assault.

Records allege Jordan stabbed two men during an argument at a Motel 6 near Hagerstown.

Washington County Sheriff's Department deputies have said Harold Shrives, 36, suffered one stab wound to the lower left abdomen and Brian Taylor, 32, suffered two wounds to his upper chest.




Charges in robbery sent to circuit court



A total of 27 charges against four Hagerstown residents in connection with a April 13 robbery in Hagerstown were forwarded to Washington County Circuit Court, court records say.

Washington County District Judge Ralph H. France II found probable cause during a preliminary hearing Wednesday on charges against Freddie Charles Thompson, 58, of 604 N. Mulberry St., Jared Jaasiel Sampson, 31, of 814 W. Washington St., Manuel E. Black, of 111 Elizabeth St., Apt. 9, and Lisa Ann Mills, 36, of 14 Randolph Ave., Apt. 3., records say.

All four were charged with first-degree burglary, first- and second-degree assault, robbery, armed robbery and possession of a deadly weapon with intent to injure, records say. Records say Black, Thompson and Sampson were also charged with use of a handgun in the commission of a felony/violent crime.

The Hagerstown Police Department said a couple was robbed at gunpoint in their apartment in the 500 block of West Washington Street shortly after midnight. Police said the robbers were carrying multiple handguns and at least one shotgun.
