CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A 20-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday in Franklin County Court to three to 10 years in state prison for having sex with a minor. Dale Wayne Phillips Jr., no fixed address, was sentenced on a charge of aggravated indecent assault by Judge John R. Walker. He pleaded guilty to the charge Feb. 20 in exchange for charges of statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault and corruption of a minor being dismissed, court records said.
Walker ordered Phillips, as a sexual offender, to comply with the lifetime registration requirements under Pennsylvania's version of Megan's Law. Following his release from prison, Phillips will be required to register with police wherever he lives for the rest of his life.
Phillips had sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl on several occasions between August and October 2003, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Washington Township Police.
