CONCORD, Pa. - A Perry County, Pa., man was killed Saturday afternoon in a one-car crash two miles south of Concord in Fannett Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Lester S. Bippus Jr., 57, of East Waterford, Pa., was pronounced dead at the scene of the 4:20 p.m. accident, according to Franklin County Coroner Jeffrey R. Conner. He died of multiple head and chest injuries, Conner said.

Police said Bippus was driving a 2001 Toyota Corolla north 3/10 of a mile north of Pa. 274 when he ran off the right side of the road. The car crossed the southbound lane and Bippus overcorrected, crossing the northbound lane and going off the road again, police said.

The car went into a ditch, then hit a tree and started to roll over, police said. As the vehicle was rolling over, the top of it struck a utility pole.
