Chuck E. Cheese's to open in Hagerstown

Chuck E. Cheese's plans to open a restaurant in the Hagerstown area by the end of March 2005, a company spokeswoman said Wednesday.The family restaurant chain has been opening 35 to 40 new restaurants a year for the past two years, spokeswoman Brenda Holloway said.

Holloway said a site had not been selected. The restaurant would be about 7,000 to 8,000 square feet and employ 30 to 40 full- and part-time workers, according to a company news release.

Chuck E. Cheese's gears its restaurants toward families with children, Holloway said.

The menu includes homemade pizza, sandwiches, breadsticks and a salad bar. Chuck E. Cheese's also has games and rides for kids and an animated stage show featuring Chuck E. and musical friends, according to the news release.
