Hearing waived in city drug case
A Hagerstown man waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Washington County District Court Judge Ralph H. France II Tuesday, court records say.Records say all charges against Michael A. Brown, 34, of 11615A Hopewell Road, stemming from a March 31 incident were forwarded to Washington County Circuit Court.
Brown was charged with possession of and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, altering the identification number of a firearm, possession of an unregistered shotgun/rifle and five counts of access by minors to firearms, records say.
Records allege that officers searched a residence on March 31 and found crack cocaine, several plastic bags filled with marijuana, digital scales, an aluminum can with a false compartment, two handguns, a glass bong, three handguns and a sawed-off shotgun, among other items.
Probable cause on prison charges found
Probable cause was found Tuesday to send on to Washington County Circuit Court four charges against a Maryland Correctional Training Center inmate, court records say.
