T.J. Hose pitched a complete-game, two-hit shutout and struck out nine to lead North Hagerstown over Catoctin 5-0 in an MVAL Antietam matchup Wednesday.

Brent Toms hit a two-run homer for the Hubs (4-2, 3-0), while Matt Ridenour, Chris Grove and Colby Thompson drove in runs in a five-run sixth inning.

HANCOCK - Alex Younker had two hits to lead Hancock (0-5).

Jefferson 12, Pelion 1

LORIS, S.C. - Josh Simons led Jefferson with two hits and cleared the bases with a double as part of a six-run second inning as the Cougars defeated Pelion in the Hawaiian Tropic Tournament.

Wes Jenkins and Adam Kessel each drove in two runs, David Smith added two hits and Jordan Diehl struck out six and walked none to earn the win for Jefferson (8-2).

ELLIOTSBURG, Pa. - Brian Lisko doubled, tripled and drove in five to lead the Indians over West Perry. Jordan Reitz and Andrew Caron each had three hits for Waynesboro (4-0, 2-0).

YORK SPRINGS, Pa. - Brett Sellers went 4-for-4 with two RBI and Jared Barkdoll went 3-for-3 with two RBI to lead the Blue Devils over Bermudian Springs.

Nate Kopp and Adam Weistling each had two hits, with Kopp driving in two and Weistling three for Greencastle (3-2, 2-0).

The Cougars drew 14 walks and Alecia Brandenburg struck out eight for the win against North (0-6).

Brandenburg drove in four runs and Kelly Styles tripled for Catoctin (5-2, 3-0).

Boonsboro 20, Clear Spring 6

BOONSBORO - Caroline Woodhams had four hits to lead Boonsboro past Clear Spring in the MVAL Antietam.

Britnee Harbaugh added three hits for Boonsboro (1-6, 1-2), while Kourtney Marshall, Jessi Ambrose, Caitlyn Selby, Destinee Olden and Katie Sirbaugh each had two hits.

Tawyna Blair had two hits for Clear Spring.

CARLISLE, Pa. - Lindsay Hinton had three hits to lead Chambersburg to a Mid-Penn Commonwealth win over Carlisle.

Jessica Wallich struck out six for the Trojans (4-0), while Jenae Mummert and Brittany Hechman each had two hits.

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Cajun Woodal had three hits, including a three-run homer, for Southern Fulton (1-3, 1-1). Kaylie Mellott and Katie Merica each added two hits.

Hilary DeShong tripled for McConnellsburg.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Amanda Mummert went 3-for-4 to pace Waynesboro's 15-hit attack in a Mid-Penn Commonwealth win over Gettysburg.

Paige Tanner, Erin Keller, Kristy Young, Jenna Bakner and Bobbi Helman each had two hits for the Maidens (3-1, 1-1), while Keller, Young, Bakner and Helman each had an RBI.

Kristin Hess (2-1) pitched three innings of shutout relief for the win.

Middletown 4, T. Johnson 3

FREDERICK, Md. - Jessica Metzner broke a 3-3 tie in the top of the seventh inning with a game-winning RBI single for Middletown.

Samantha Koehl had an RBI triple for Thomas Johnson (1-4).


Musselman 66, Strasburg 55 Massanutten 33

STRASBURG, Va. - Sean Corbett won the long jump and the high jump for Musselman.

Kyle Keman won the shot put, Nick Aberegg won the discus, Ryan West took first in the 110-meter high hurdles, Wayne Stump won the 1,600, Matt Rouser won the 800 and Derrick King, Corbett, Stump and Rouser won the 1,600 relay for the Applemen.


Strasburg 107, Musselman 43 Massanutten 0

STRASBURG, Va. - Molly Grove won the discus for Musselman, while the 400-meter relay team of Rachael Felecio, Rachael Harris, Ginny Webber and Angela Devonshire also took first.


Shepherd 7-7, Slip. Rock 5-1

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Shepherd College pounded out 20 hits in a doubleheader sweep of Slippery Rock.

In the first game, Jimmy Jackson hit a three-run double as part of a five-run sixth inning for the Rams. Tavis Laws went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, while Jackson had two hits and Jason Walck had two RBI. Jeff Kirkpatrick recorded the win while Charlie Drummond struck out the side in the seventh for the save.

Drummond hit a solo homer in the first inning of the nightcap, while Walck, Josh Delawder and Joe Cook each added two hits for Shepherd (12-13), while four pitchers combined to throw a two-hitter.


Anne Arundel 2-3, HCC 1-5

ANNE ARUNDEL, Md. - Amanda McGhee and Chelsea Jolliffe each had two hits for the Hawks (6-9) in the second game of a doubleheader split with Anne Arundel.
