Pa. man killed in industrial accident at Beistle Co.

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - A Shippensburg man was killed Monday in an industrial accident at the Beistle Co., according to the Cumberland County Coroner's Office.

The coroner's office said Wallace Bigler Jr., 49, of Shippensburg, was killed during an accident at the Beistle Company, 1 Beistle Plaza, at about 7:15 a.m.

Bigler and two other employees were moving a piece of equipment used for assembly when it overturned on him, according to the coroner's office.

The coroner's office said he was pronounced dead at the scene, and that an investigation was ongoing.

The Beistle Co. makes decorations and party goods, its Web site said.

A spokeswoman for the Pennsylvania State Police Carlisle barrack declined to release further information on the incident.
