COCOA, Fla. - Ryan Harju had three hits and four RBI and Zach Barkdoll added three hits and two RBI to lead Hagerstown Community College's 15-hit attack on Burlington at the Cocoa Blast Tournament.

Cole Bellon, Ralph Festa and Brad Brandt combined to throw a two-hitter in five innings.

HCC 4, Iowa Lakes 0

COCOA, Fla. - Eric Miksitz allowed three hits in seven innings and Devan Ewell and Ryan Brady each had two hits in the game as HCC (3-3) beat Iowa Lakes.

Mount Olive 22, Shepherd 10

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Mount Olive took advantage of six hits and three Shepherd College errors as the Trojans scored 10 runs in the first inning.

Charlie Drummond hit a solo home run and finished the game with three hits and two RBI for the Rams. Tavis Laws, Josh Delawder, Bryan Lowry, and Norris Roy each added two hits apiece for Shepherd (2-4).



Softball umpires sought

The Pinesburg umpires association will hold a mandatory meeting Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Hagerstown Fairgrounds. A registration fee of $45 will be collected at the meeting. Anybody interested in umpiring should attend. For more information, contact Gary Lum at 301-790-3960.
