Middle schools in Washington County plan community events

Northern Middle School's third annual charity talent show will be held Wednesday, March 31, at 6:30 p.m. at the school, 701 Northern Ave., Hagerstown.

Tickets are $3 and can be obtained from Claire Seibert, teacher at Northern Middle School and REACH volunteer congregational coordinator, via e-mail at seibecla@wcboe.k12.md.us or REACH Caregivers at reachcaregivers@aol.com.




Western Heights Middle School will celebrate students' accomplishments during a spring fair scheduled for Saturday. The fair will begin with a free pancake breakfast for parents, students, staff and community supporters from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the school cafeteria. The WHMS Parent-Teacher Association will hold a book fair fund-raiser in the media center from 9 a.m. to noon. The spring fair also will feature displays of student work from many curricular areas. In addition, the Western Heights Wellness Center will be open for registration, and free blood pressure and blood sugar-level checks.
