Richard Dale Bowman Sr.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mr. Richard Dale Bowman Sr., age 66, of 4559 Sycamore Grove Road, Chambersburg, Pa., died Saturday, March 6, 2004, at Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, Pa.

Mr. Bowman was born in Letterkenny Township on June 10, 1937.

He was the son of the late Joseph Bowman and the late Rachel (Holden) Bowman.

Mr. Bowman was employed by Sprint as a data technician and was of the Protestant faith.

He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman, avid NASCAR fan and a member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Bowman; three sons, Richard D. (Margaret) Bowman Jr. of Shippensburg, Pa., Tom Bowman of Chambersburg, Pa., and Joe (Patricia) Bowman of Fayetteville, Pa.; two sisters, Mary Black of Graham, Wash., and Janet Ramsey of Chambersburg, Pa.; four brothers, Kenneth Bowman of Chambersburg, Pa., Wayne Bowman of Chambersburg, Pa., Robert Bowman of Chambersburg, Pa., and Charles Bowman of Chambersburg, Pa.; and five grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Bowman Jr. and Glen Bowman, and two sisters, Frances Bowman and Helen Lind.

Arrangements are being handled by Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2004.

A funeral service will be held at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2004, the Rev. Charles Kind officiating. Interment will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg, Pa.

Memorial donations may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 370, Scotland, PA 17254; or the American Heart Association, 225 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Ryan M. Greivell

Ryan Michael Greivell, 27, of 13324 Fairfax Road, Hagerstown, Md., died Saturday, March 6, 2004, at his home.

Born in Waukesha, Wis., Oct. 2,1976, he was the son of Sandy and Joe Prisak of Hagerstown and Peter and Maggie Greivell of Hollywood, Md.

Ryan graduated from Boonsboro High School in 1994. He attended Hagerstown Community College, where he studied communications, and Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, where he studied architecture.

He was employed by Williams Energy Systems of Severn, Md.

Ryan was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake.

In addition to his parents, Ryan is survived by two brothers, Nicholas Prisak of Hagerstown and Adam Greivell of Hagerstown, as well as Adam's fiance, Jessica Garrett of Baltimore, Md.; three grandparents, Patricia Parkin of Hagerstown, Helen Prisak of Hagerstown and Lorraine Greivell of Venice, Fla.; longtime girlfriend Rebecca Williams of Alexandria, Va.; stepbrother Ben Pilkerton of Maryland; stepsister Lynsey Pilkerton of Worcester, Mass.; godson Jeffrey Wilson of Hagerstown; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Services will be Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. N., Hagerstown, with Dr. Paul Bauer officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Philip Merrill Environmental Center, 6 Herndon Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403.

Henry O. Zimmerman

HANCOCK - Henry O. Zimmerman, II, 53, of East Main Street, who died Thursday, March 4, 2004, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., is also survived by five sisters, Donna Hart of Tucson, Teri Wilbourne of Great Cacapon, W.Va., Mary Wydysh of Falling Waters, W.Va., Dee Ann Spade of Needmore, Pa., and Angie Scott of Milford, Del., and one brother, Bryan Zimmerman of Mercersburg, Pa.

Hazel R. Barnett

WATERFALL, Pa. - Hazel Rebecca Barnett, 93, of Blacks Mountain Road, died Saturday, March 6, 2004, at her home after an extended illness.

Born July 17, 1910, in Wells Valley, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Rosswell and Sarah Crider Stains.

Her husband, Sebert D. Barnett, died March 9, 1996. They were married March 21, 1942.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Center United Methodist Church, Waterfall, and the Ladies Aide Society.

She was a member of Hustontown (Pa.) Area Senior Citizens.

She is survived by one daughter, Brenda R. Pepple of Waterfall; one son, Howard R. Barnett of Wells Tannery, Pa.; six grandchildren, Michael Barnett of Crystal Spring, Pa., Erika Bowman, Ashley Pepple and Brittani Pepple, all of Everett, Pa., Kenneth Mumma of Waterfall and Joseph Mumma of Fort Littleton, Pa., and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. The Revs. George Clippinger and Belvy White will officiate. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Waterfall.

Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the funeral home.
