Editor's note - Please be as brief as possible when calling Mail Call, The Daily Mail's reader call-in line.

Mail Call is not staffed on weekends or holidays so it is best to call Mail Call during the week. The Mail Call number is 301-791-6236.

You are welcome to leave a recorded message on any subject, but some calls will be screened out.

Here are some of the calls we have received lately:

"I want to respond about the gay marriages. It makes me sick. Rosie O'Donnell being on TV the way she was. They will meet their maker and when they do, they will pay for their mistakes."

"I lost a set of keys between Jefferson Boulevard at Wesley Drive and Williamsport. They were on the back of my bumper. It was two keyless entry pads and three car keys and a house key, a little purse keyring. If anyone finds it, there will be a reward. If you find them, call 301-964-6968."

"I need a smoke detector put in my home. Can someone put a phone number to call to have one put in?"

"There was an article in the paper the other day about how sickening it is to see two men or two women kissing. There is too much of this on TV and I totally agree with this person. If you go to church and believe in the Bible, then why aren't more people standing up against this?"

"My name is Karen and I found a black and white husky with a blue and black eye. I have his tag number, it is 1755 and it's for 2002-2003. If you own this dog, call me at 301-797-8817."

"To the person who said they found some mushrooms. I think you are full of it because there is still snow on the ground."

"To a nice lady who works at AC & T, her name is Doris. I want to thank her for being so kind and pleasant to talk to on the phone. Thanks."

"John Edwards wants people to think he grew up in poverty, someone said he was middle class. This man is worth, right now, $36 million."

"I would like to learn to play bridge. If anyone is interested in teaching a class, call me at 301-432-8693."

"I am curious to know when they are going to do something about the traffic on Halfway Boulevard between Downsville Pike and Virginia Avenue. Cars go up and down this road, 60 and 70 miles per hour. Two people already got killed on this road."

"My brother and mother who live in Dargan, both quit gambling. Good luck."

"John Edwards and his middle class background is worth $36 million."

"I agree with the Mail Call who said about all the different religions we have in this country. Like he said, if you aren't here, move to another country."

"Kudos to Tim Rowland on his article about the airport runway extension in Sunday's paper."

"I want to thank the person who found my tan change purse at Wal-Mart and turned it into customer service. All the money was still inside, you have just restored my faith in people."
