Scholarship pageant

MasterWorks IV


The theme of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra concert is "Pastoral Scenes." The MSO will perform Claude Debussy's Prelude to "The Afternoon of a Faun," with flute soloist Jessica Hull; Sir Thomas Beecham's arrangement of selections from George Frideric Handel's opera "Il Pastor Fido" - "The Faithful Shepherd"; and Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 in F Major, Op. 68, the Pastoral Symphony. Poetry workshop


In conjunction with the Washington County Poetry Contest, a poetry-writing workshop will be held with local storyteller and poet Crystal Brown. Open to children in grades two through five. Indoor guard meet
