Unger to hold town meetings Saturday

West Virginia state Sen. John Unger will hold a series of town meetings on Saturday in Berkeley and Jefferson counties.

Unger, D-Berkeley, will discuss a variety of issues at the meetings, including education, economic development, the environment and health care.

The meetings are as follows:

  • 9 a.m. - Webers Store, Mission Road, Shannondale, W.Va.

  • 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - War Memorial Building, German Street, Shepherdstown, W.Va.

  • 1:30 to 3 p.m. - Community and Technical College of Shepherd, Dunn Building, Room B17, Martinsburg, W.Va.

  • 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. - Hedgesville Fire Department, W.Va. 9, Hedgesville, W.Va.

On Sunday at 9:15 am, Unger will be speaking at Calvary United Methodist Church, 220 W. Burke St., Martinsburg, about both his work with Mother Teresa and his humanitarian efforts in Iraq with the non-governmental organization, Save the Children.
