Ridenour-Huff


Sara Jane Ridenour of Smithsburg announces the engagement of her daughter, Julie Belle Ridenour, to Garry Brian Huff, son of Garry E. and Martha J. Huff, of

Waynesboro, Pa. Miss Ridenour also is the daughter of the late R. Emerson Ridenour.

Miss Ridenour is a 1990 graduate of Smithsburg High School and received a bachelor of science degree in music education from Gettysburg College in 1994. She is a private music teacher at Carpenter's World of Music in Hagerstown and is a free-lance flutist. She also is employed as an imaging clerk in the radiology department of Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.

Mr. Huff is a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School and Franklin County Vocational Technical School and graduated from the radiology program at Hagerstown Junior College. He is employed as a registered radiologic technologist in the radiology department at Washington County Hospital.

A May 2005 wedding is planned.

Hawbaker-Ridge


Joyce and Rolland "Tom" Gladhill of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Anita Rae Hawbaker, to Michael John Ridge, son of John and Deborah Ridge of Greencastle, Pa.

Miss Hawbaker is a 1995 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School and received a bachelor of arts degree in biology education from Shepherd College in 2001. She is employed as a server at Hops Grillhouse and Brewery in Charleston, S.C.

Mr. Ridge is a 1997 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School and received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Penn State University in 2001. He is a lieutenant junior grade in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Charleston, where he is attending nuclear power school.

A February 2005 wedding is planned.




Gelwicks-Leatherman


Blake and Marion Gelwicks of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenna Lynn Gelwicks, to Shaun Richard Leatherman, son of Rodney E. and Debra Leatherman of Clear Spring.

Miss Gelwicks is a 2003 graduate of Clear Spring High School and is attending Hagerstown Community College. She is pursuing a career in elementary education. She is employed at Grace Brethren Daycare in Hagers-town.

Mr. Leatherman is a 2002 graduate of Clear Spring High School and is receiving technical training at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, for the U.S. Air Force. He is a member of the 167th Air National Guard in Martinsburg, W.Va. He is training for communication/navigation.

A wedding date has not been set.




McEnroe-Mickus


Ann M. McEnroe and Robert L. Mickus announce their engagement.

Ms. McEnroe is the daughter of Kathryn B. McEnroe of Hagerstown and the late Robert I. McEnroe. She is a graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School, received a bachelor of science degree in engineering from Temple University and a master of education degree from Widener University. She is employed as a mathematics teacher at Owen J. Roberts High School in Coventry, Pa.

Mr. Mickus is the son of Maryann Mickus of New Tripoli, Pa., and the late Robert Mickus. He is a graduate of the Swain School and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. He is the owner of Franklin Paine Business Brokerage.

A March 27 wedding is planned.




Fochtman-McCarty


Alicia Jo Fochtman and Edward Noel McCarty announce their engagement.

Miss Fochtman is the daughter of Wayne and Theresa Fochtman of Berlin, Pa. She is a 1995 graduate of Berlin-Brothers Valley High School and received an associate's degree of applied science from Allegheny College of Maryland in Cumberland, Md. She is employed as a registered dental hygienist with Dr. James J. Seitz in Bedford, Pa.

Mr. McCarty is the son of Sherrie McCarty of Hancock and the late Charles McCarty. He is a 1995 graduate of Hancock High School. He is employed as a laboratory technician with the Maryland State Highway Administration in Hancock.

An Oct. 9 wedding is planned.




Sullivan-Morrison


Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sullivan of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Noel Sullivan, to Mark Russell Morrison, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Morrison of Loveland, Colo.

Miss Sullivan is a 1991 graduate of Boonsboro High School. She received an associate of arts degree from Hagerstown Junior College in 1993. She is employed by Workflow in Richmond, Va.

Mr. Morrison is a 1990 graduate of Loveland High School, received a bachelor of science degree from University of Northern Colorado in 1995 and a master's degree in athletic administration from Florida State University in 1999. He is employed by Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte, N.C.

A June wedding is planned.




Reyes-Swope


Talia Nicole Reyes and Jeffrey Brian Swope announce their engagement.

Ms. Reyes is the daughter of Anthony and Debra Reyes of Hagerstown. She graduated with an advanced degree from Grace Academy in 2002 and plans to graduate in May with an associate of arts degree in business management from Hagerstown Community College. She is employed as a customer service representative with Hub Labels in Hagerstown.

Mr. Swope is the son of Larry and Kay Swope of Smithsburg. He is a 2002 graduate of Smithsburg High School. He is employed as a press operator with Hub Labels.

A July 17 wedding is planned.




Robinson-Irelan


Craig E. Gilbert and Anna Marie Verdier-Gilbert of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Andrea Marie Elizabeth Robinson, to Dwayne Michael Irelan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel L. Irelan of Daleville, Ind.

Miss Robinson attended Clear Spring High School.

Mr. Irelan is a 1997 graduate of Daleville Junior/Senior High School. He is employed as a machinist at Taurus Tool & Engineering in Muncie, Ind.

An April wedding is planned.




Bloyer-Brechbill

Mr. Brechbill is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School and Hagerstown Business College. He is employed by Washington County.
