Waynesboro man faces charges

A Waynesboro, Pa., man was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree assault Saturday after he allegedly hit a deputy U.S. Marshal who caught the man urinating outside of a Sheetz store.

Justin Trei, 24, of 4219 Clayhill Road, is in custody on $5,000 bail.

Maryland State Police Trooper R. Coccodrilli began an investigation after U.S. Marshal Charles Rowland, from Milwaukee, called for assistance at around 2:34 a.m. Saturday.

Rowland told police that he spotted Trei urinating in front of the Sheetz store at Maugans Avenue and U.S. 11 North. When Rowland approached Trei and identified himself as a law enforcement officer, Trei charged toward the officer and hit him in the face, according to a State Police press release.

Rowland put Trei in the back of his unmarked cruiser until Coccodrilli arrived, police said.
