Popper-Daugherty


Cheryl A. Daugherty and Stephen E. Popper were married Friday, May 9, 2003, in a private ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Charles and Arlene Haislip of Williamsport. The bridegroom is the son of John and Beverly Popper of San Jose, Calif.

The bride is a 1979 graduate of Williamsport High School, a 1982 graduate of Award Beauty School and is pursuing a nursing degree at University of Rio Grande in Rio Grande, Ohio. She owned and operated Country Haven Hairstyling for many years and most recently, was an administrative assistant with Brook Lane Health Services.

The bridegroom retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1997 and worked for Antietam Health Services at Robinwood Medical Center as medical director for occupational medicine. Dr. Popper is now medical director of occupational medicine with Holzer Clinic in Gallipolis, Ohio.

Carter-French


Traci E. French and John F. Carter III were married Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at Hagerstown Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Phillip and Joyce French of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of the late Erma E. Carter and John F. Carter Jr.

The bride is a 1983 graduate of Montgomery County Covenant Academy in Montgomery Village, Md. She is a personal assistant for Joyce French and an art consultant with Personal Preference Inc.

The bridegroom served in the U.S. Army ICorps Special Forces as a military adviser to South Korea and South Vietnam. He received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from UCLA. He is a registered professional engineer and is self-employed as a consulting engineer in the Tri-State area.

They live in Big Pool.




Luther-Lake


Holly Sue Lake and James Henry Luther Jr. were married Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of Harold Lake and Melissa Lake of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of James Luther of Cresson, Pa., and Bonnie Luther of Georgia.

The bride is a 1993 graduate of South Hagerstown High School and a 2000 graduate of Towson University. She is employed as a coordinator of special programs with Washington County Health Department.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Penn Cambria High School and a 2000 graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology. He is employed as a construction foreman with Great American Landscapes in Clarksburg, Md.

They live in Hagerstown.




Shupp-Mills


April Lee Mills and William Sidney Shupp III were married Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Clear Spring.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garrett C. Mills Jr. of Clear Spring. The bridegroom is the son of David and Elizabeth Miller of Clear Spring and the late William Sidney Shupp Jr.

The bride is a 1991 graduate of Clear Spring High School, a 1996 graduate of Salisbury State University and did graduate work at Frostburg State University. She is employed as a seventh-grade teacher at Hancock Middle-Senior High School.

The bridegroom is a 1993 graduate of Clear Spring High School and attended Hagerstown Junior College. He is employed with CECO Electric Company.

They live in Clear Spring.

Megan Louise Shives and Roman Gabriel Kretzer were married Saturday, July 5, 2003, at St. Paul's Church in Big Pool.

The bride is the daughter of Irene and Theodore Rosenberry of Clear Spring and the late Keith Shives. The bridegroom is the son of Dean Kretzer and Barb Hardeo of Clear Spring.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Clear Spring High School, a graduate of Hagers-town Community College and a 2002 graduate of Shepherd College. She is employed as a medical technician with Cumberland Valley Retina Consultants in Hagerstown.

The bridegroom is a 1991 graduate of Clear Spring High School. He is employed as an electrician with CECO in Frederick, Md.

They live in Clear Spring.




Butler-Bolinger


Amy Jo Bolinger and Nicholas Cody Butler were married Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at Hagerstown Church of the Brethren.

The bride is the daughter of Michael Bolinger of Hagerstown and Susan Rooney of Williamsport. The bridegroom is the son of George L. Butler of Williamsport and Patti Butler of Boonsboro.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Williamsport High School. She is employed as a reservation supervisor with Eglin AFB Lodging at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.

The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Williamsport High School. He is an avionics technician with the 16th Helicopter Maintenance Squadron of the U.S. Air Force at Hurlburt Field, Fla.

They live in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.




Holsted-Curry


Dianne Lynn Curry and Larry Lynn Holsted were married Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Church of God Universal in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of the late Harry and Virgie Curry of Durbin, W.Va. The bridegroom is the son of Mabel Holsted of Greenville, Mich., and the late Clarence Holsted.

The bride is a graduate of Green Bank High School in West Virginia. She is a teacher at Truth Christian Academy in Hagerstown.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Lakeview High School in Michigan. He is employed with the General Motors Plant in Martinsburg, W.Va.

They live in Hagerstown.

Maria Diane Taylor and Kenneth Wayne Page were married Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003.

The bride is the daughter of Hector J. and Beatrice E. Rodriguez. The bridegroom is the son of James W. and Shirley J. Campbell.

The bride attended North Hagerstown High School.

The bridegroom attended Fairmont High School in Fairmont, N.C. He is employed by Mack Trucks Inc.

They plan to live in Hagerstown.
