Police seek men in alleged armed robbery


FREDERICK, Md. - One of several white men walking near Kentucky Fried Chicken on U.S. 40 in Frederick Saturday afternoon allegedly showed a man a handgun, ordered him into a red pickup truck and drove him to an unidentified parking lot in Boonsboro, robbing him of an undisclosed amount of money, according to the Frederick Police Department.

The men then fled the area, police said.

Three people injured in Saturday accident


FORT LOUDON, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police said three people were seriously injured early Saturday in a one-vehicle accident in the 1000 block of Fort Loudon Road in Peters Township, Pa.

Police said the accident happened at about 2:05 a.m. when a southbound 1992 Ford Explorer ran off the road, struck a mailbox and rolled over several times.

Dustin Funk of Greencastle, Pa., and John Strine and Nicholas Strine, both of Chambersburg, Pa., all were taken to Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, police said. The report did not give ages or street addresses for the men.

John and Nicholas Strine both were in serious condition Sunday evening, according to a hospital spokeswoman. Funk was admitted and still is a patient, but no other information on his condition was available, she said.

The police did not indicate which man was driving the Explorer and said it was not known whether any of them were wearing seat belts.
