Trains of Christmas

A new, O-scale, three-level Christmas layout with steam and diesel trains will operate in a wintry scene with old and new towns. Other O- and HO-scale layouts will be in operation. Railroading for the holidays

Brass Ornaments performs in the Railroad Museum's Rolling Stock Hall. Costumed railroaders will mingle with visitors in the display of historic locomotives. Hike at Messiah College

The Susquehanna Appalachian Trail Club will sponsor a six-mile hike at Messiah College in Grantham, Pa. All are welcome on this easy hike. Participants should bring water. Roller skating

Family Skating Center will celebrate Wednesday, New Year's Eve with three sessions. The evening includes holiday contests and games. Chaperoned by adults.

-- 7 to 11:30 p.m., $7 plus skates.

-- 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. New Year's Eve Late Night Skate, $12, including regular skates. Party hats, noisemakers and snacks will be provided.

Patsy Fest

This year's fest will pay homage to the "cowboys' sweetheart," Patsy Montana, and her musical legacy of hillbilly, western swing, rockabilly and roots country music.
