William F. Krepp

William Francis "Bill" Krepp, 79, of 18004 Putter Drive, Hagerstown, Md., passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at Washington County Hospital.

Born in Hagerstown on Monday, April 7, 1924, he was the son of the late Frank J. and Hazel (Gibson) Krepp.

He was the husband of Charlotte H. Krepp. They were married for more than 55 years.

He was a 1942 graduate of St. Mary's High School.

He was employed with the Hagerstown Post Office as a civil service examiner, retiring in June 1984 after 40 years of service.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church; B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 378; Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion; Eagles Inc. of Waynesboro; N.A.R.F.E. No. 306, where he served as past president for 14 years; and Towne Oak Village Home Owners Association, where he served as an officer.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Suzanne Krepp, wife of Bill Bechner, of Rockville, Md.; daughter Joanne Krepp, wife of Phil Morgan, of Maugansville, Md.; daughter Marianne Krepp, wife of Brian Hess, of Hagerstown; daughter Dianne Krepp, wife of Dale Brunner, of Hagerstown; twin sister, Mary Krepp Rehak of Charlottesville, Va.; sister, Margaret Krepp O'Meara of Baltimore, Md. He also is survived by six grandchildren, Stephanie Morgan and Nicole Morgan of Hagerstown, Michael Hess and Angela Hess, both of Hagerstown, and Danielle Brunner and Deanna Brunner, both of Hagerstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, May Krepp.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 17630 Virginia Ave., Hagerstown, on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Christopher P. Moore as celebrant.

Interment will be at Boonsboro Cemetery, Boonsboro, Md.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. N., Hagerstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church Building Fund, 17630 Virginia Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740.

David H. Minnich

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - David H. "Pat" Minnich, 65, of 317 Fairmount Ave., died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at Waynesboro Hospital.

Born Feb. 19, 1938, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late J. Edward and Elva R. Morgan Minnich.

He was a 1956 graduate of Waynesboro High School and attended Western Union School in New Jersey.

He was a molder for BenJu Corp. in Waynesboro, retiring in 1997.

He was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro.

He was a member of Always There Hook and Ladder Fire Co. in Waynesboro, Waynesboro Fire Police and National AARP.

He served as assistant treasurer of the Quincy (Pa.) Cemetery board of directors.

He is survived by his wife, Doris J. Gearhart Minnich, whom he married July 20, 1963; one daughter, Susan M.R. Minnich of Waynesboro; and one granddaughter, Morgan R. Minnich of Waynesboro.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Perry E. Minnich.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. The Rev. Richard A. Seaks will officiate. Burial will follow in Quincy Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arlene V. Swope

Arlene Virginia Swope, 87, formerly of Devonshire Road in Hagerstown, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at Avalon Manor Health Care Center.

Born Oct. 14, 1916, in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Annie Copenhaver Foreman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter B. Swope.

She was a graduate of Lemasters High School.

She was a cook for the Hagerstown School District Board of Education.

She was a member of Salem Reformed Church.

She was a member of American Legion Post 42 Auxiliary and National AARP.

She is survived by one son, Richard D. Ebersole of Smithsburg; two sisters, Verda Rhodes of Mercersburg, Pa., and Joyce Malone of St. Thomas, Pa.; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Rohrer and Jane Harrison; one brother, Paul Foreman; and one half sister, Catherine Happ.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery. Pastor Steve Wagoner will officiate.

Ratko Micanovic

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Ratko Micanovic, 60, of 448 Cleveland Ave., died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at Waynesboro Hospital.

Born June 5, 1943, in Kalotici, Visoko, Bosnia, he was the son of the late Simo and Jelka Trivunic Micanovic.

He had been employed by Quebecor World in Fairfield, Pa., since 1995.

He attended St. Mary's Orthodox Church in Chambersburg, Pa.
