Holiday events planned for weekend

Frederick hosts parade


FREDERICK, Md. - The Kris Kringle Procession postponed by last week's snow and ice storm, will be slightly different than originally planned. The parade begins at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at the corner of Patrick and East streets instead of Everedy Square. Participants will line up on South East Street between Patrick and All Saints streets between 5 and 5:30 p.m. Drop off parking will be available in Delaplaine Visual Arts Center parking lot. The procession will march to Baker Park and conclude with closing ceremonies, caroling and lighting of the official city tree. Holiday studio tour


The Valley Craft Network hosts the 22nd annual holiday studio tour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. Five studios will be open, including Eric Madsen Pottery in Rohrersville, Van Gilder Pottery in Gapland, Md., Catoctin Pottery in Jefferson, Md., Woodhue Woodshop in Keedysville and Surreybrooke Nursery in Middletown, Md. Community band plays


The Williamsport Community Band will present a holiday concert. 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at Williamsport High School. Admission is free.
