City men charged with drug possession

Two Hagerstown men were charged Wednesday night with drug possession after the Washington County Narcotics Task Force set up a drug sale.

Lorenzo Green Sr., 42, of 432 Cook St., was being held on $375,000 bond at the Washington County Detention Center. Jamie Brumback, 28, of 18020 Putter Drive, Hagerstown, was being held on $350,000.

According to charging documents, task force agents provided a confidential informant with two bags of marked crack cocaine to sell to Green and Brumback. The informant met the men at the Maugans Avenue Sheetz Store at noon Wednesday, where the deal was completed, court documents allege.

After observing the sale, police took Green and Brumback into custody, the documents say.

Both Green and Brumback previously were convicted on charges of cocaine distribution and cocaine possession, court documents allege.

Police search for Frederick burglar

FREDERICK, Md. - Police searched unsuccessfully for a burglar who entered a Frederick home Wednesday night, according to Frederick City Police.

Police said residents in the 100 block of Catoctin Avenue returned home at about 11:40 p.m. to find wet footprints leading from the rear kitchen door into the master bedroom hallway.

When one of the residents heard the floor creaking and yelled for her husband, the burglar ran, police said.

Police set up a perimeter around the home and used police dogs to try to track the suspect, but his scent was lost in the parking lot of a nearby restaurant.
