November 20, 2003

A lottery ticket worth $50,000 was purchased at a Hagerstown gas station, but the winner did not immediately claim the prize, Maryland Lottery officials said Wednesday.

The Bonus Match 5 ticket was purchased at the AC&T on Wesel Boulevard for Tuesday night's drawing.

The winning numbers were 03-07-08-18-22 and the bonus ball was 34, the lottery said.

Two other area residents have won the Maryland Lottery recently.

Retired Waynesboro, Pa., Police Chief Glenn Phenicie and his wife, Valerie, won $3.4 million in the Lotto's Nov. 8 drawing. They will collect their winnings in 25 annual installments of $92,200 after taxes.

A Frederick, Md., woman missed a $70 million Mega Millions jackpot by one number on Nov. 11. The woman, who was not identified, won $175,000.
