You are welcome to leave a recorded message on any subject, but some calls will be screened out.

Here are some of the calls we have received lately:

"Here is a good and easy recipe for broccoli soup. Add small pieces of cooked broccoli to prepared cream of celery soup. Serve hot with a little fresh lemon juice stirred in."

"To whoever said that Bush is a great man, a great leader and a great president, whoever wrote that should stop and think about all the Americans who have been killed. My nephew was one of them, he got killed and come home in a box. But Bush wouldn't want to see that on TV. Clinton was one of the greatest presidents."

"Let's get the facts straight. Not one manufacturer of cigarettes in the United States makes more than 23 cents a pack total, out of that comes overhead wages for employees, benefits, taxes, etc. Cigarettes on average cost $4 a pack, the rest is taken by our government, money that you don't have to pay in taxes because of us smokers. We put our lives on the line daily for you, and our wallets. Stop complaining about smokers and thank one."

"This is for those of you who like to nit pick at every little thing that Bush does. Most of the time, 99.9 percent of the time, he has no choice in his mode of transportation. The Secret Service provides it all. He has no choice in it. If they do it, he had to abide by what they say."

"In reference to the person who said to the person who said they were laid off and said they were trying to find a job and he or she told them to look in the want ads. Well you can look in the want ads all you want to, but you still have to be hired and if you are older, they won't hire you."

"Does anyone know where Angie the beautician from the Hair Cuttery is? I am looking for her. They said she was no longer working there. I want to contact her. Please call Mail Call."

"I can't understand why the City of Hagerstown wants to have a Thursday night out on the town. Is this to draw attraction and put an emphasis on the empty buildings downtown, the bum's that are on the sidewalks, the trash on the street? Who is behind these ideas? I know, it's the people on the corner of Franklin and Potomac, in the big stone building."

"I am calling about Mike that is looking for yearbooks from 1985-1988. If you would call me at 301-733-0957, I will get back with you."

"To the caller who was inquiring about anyone remembering a Wings of Time in Hagerstown. I don't remember that, but there was a presentation put on in the early 60s at Municipal Stadium called "Hills of Glory," that was about the Civil War."

"I live on Cherrytree Circle in the Paramount area and I have noticed that my water bill went up $87 this month. I monitored the amount of water I use and I also noticed that nobody has been out here to check the meters. Prices have gone up, but I haven't seen any explanation on where they went up."
