Motivational speaker to meet with North High students


Daniel Murray, author of "My Method to the Madness," will meet with students Monday, Nov. 24, at North Hagerstown High School.

Murray is a businessman and motivational speaker. The book describes his strategies for success.

Murray will speak to freshmen from 9 to 10 a.m. and will meet with selected students in small groups from 11 a.m. to noon.

Parents are encouraged to attend.




Superintendent invites questions


WALKERSVILLE, Md. - Frederick County Public Schools' Superintendent Jack Dale invites parents and guardians in Walkersville High area feeder schools to speak informally with him at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Walkersville Middle School's media center.

Walkersville feeder area schools include Glade, New Midway, Walkersville and Woodsboro elementary schools, Walkersville Middle School and Walkersville High School.

Remaining conversations with the superintendent for other school feeder areas are scheduled as follows: Linganore on Tuesday; Tuscarora on Jan. 6; Urbana on Feb. 3; Brunswick on March 16; Middletown on March 30; Catoctin on April 13; and Frederick on May 4.
