Beulah E. George


CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Beulah E. George, 73, of 6021 Rock Hill Road, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at Waynesboro Hospital in Waynesboro, Pa.

Born Sept. 30, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur B. and Irene C. Coffman Frederick.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. George, in 1993. They were married June 20, 1952.

She was a member of Fetterhoff United Methodist Church, where she was a member of United Methodist Women, was involved with the Sunday school and the Children's Ministry and sang in the choir.

She retired from the Greencastle (Pa.) School District.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert L. Frederick and Ralph D. Frederick.

Services will be Monday at noon at Lochstampfor Funeral Home in Waynesboro. The Rev. Pat Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Fetterhoff Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.

Robert O. Leiter


WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Robert O. Leiter, 74, of Waynesboro, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at Waynesboro Hospital.

Born April 6, 1929, in Ringgold, he was the son of the late J. Oram and Ruth N. Oller Leiter.

He was a 1947 graduate of Smithsburg High School and a 1949 graduate of Hagerstown Junior College. He received his bachelor of science degree in agriculture in 1951 from the University of Maryland, where he was a member of Alpha Zeta Honorary Agriculture Fraternity. He received his master of science degree from Penn State University in agriculture education with a concentration in horticulture.

He taught horticulture at the Career Studies Center in Hagerstown from 1967 to 1986 and retired from the Washington County Board of Education in 1987.

He was a member of Welty Church of the Brethren, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, deacon and church treasurer and was a member of the choir.

He was a member of the Hagerstown Junior College Foundation, the Mable K. Walter Arboretum Committee, the Maryland State Teachers Association, the National Education Association and National AARP, among other organizations.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Snively Leiter, whom he married Aug. 20, 1955; a daughter, Julie B. Zimmerman of Lancaster, Pa.; three sons, Edward R. Leiter of New Windsor, Md., the Rev. David A. Leiter of Linthicum, Md., and Michael B. Leiter of Frederick, Md.; a sister, Rev. Anna L. Lease of Frederick; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorraine Leiter and Miriam Fries.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery. The Rev. C. Dean Mouk will officiate.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at noon at Welty Church of the Brethren in Smithsburg. The Rev. C. Dean Mouk will officiate.

There will be no public viewing; however, the family will receive friends Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Welty Church of the Brethren, 13465 Greensburg Road, Smithsburg, MD 21783, or to a charity of one's choice.




Mary R. Ford


HANCOCK - Mary R. Ford, 94, of West Main Street, who died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, is survived by her caregivers, Margie and Lloyd Roman of Hancock.




Jennifer L. Manili


MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Jennifer L. Manili, 27, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at her home.

Born April 22, 1976, in Silver Spring, Md., she was the daughter of Mark W. Mulcahy Sr. and Diane Schiavello Mulcahy of Hedgesville, W.Va.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Danielle and Danny Manili; brother, Mark W. Mulcahy Jr.; grandfather, Frank A. Schiavello; and grandmother, Nancy J. Mulcahy.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg.

Burial will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.




Bill M. Perry


HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Bill M. Perry, 60, of Hedgesville, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at his home.

Born Dec. 6, 1942, in Cyclone, W.Va., he was the son of the late Archie and Fay Perry.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra King Perry.

He retired from AT&T.

He is survived by a daughter, Janie Perry of Hampstead, N.C.; a sister, Sue Toler of Little Birch, W.Va.; and two brothers, Jim Perry of St. Stephens Church, Va. and Bob Harless of Glen Fork, W.Va.

Graveside services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, Va.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg, W.Va.




Charlotte H. Mullendore


CUMBERLAND, Md. - Charlotte Hauver Mullendore of Cumberland died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at Western Maryland Health System Memorial Hospital Campus.

She was the daughter of the late Calvert C. and Mae Morgan Hauver of Hagerstown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee R. Mullendore.
