Shepherd's Dudinski honored

Shepherd College kick returner Dustin Dudinski has been named the West Virginia Conference's Special Teams Player of the Week.

In the Rams' 20-19 loss at Concord on Saturday, Dudinski averaged 45.3 yards on three punt returns, including an 85-yard score in the first quarter.


G-A grad Petersheim recognized

Alderson-Broaddus middle hitter Latonia Petersheim, a Greencastle-Antrim High School grad, was recognized as WVIAC/First Community Bank Volleyball Player of the Week, for the week of Nov. 3-9.

Petersheim led the Battlers with 21 kills, 12 digs and four blocks in a 3-0 victory over Shepherd.


Broadfording fourth at ACSI tourney

Broadfording Christian Academy placed fourth at the Association of Christian Schools International Northeast Tournament at Grace Academy.


The Lions opened play with a 24-26, 25-22, 15-12 win over Bethel, but dropped the second match to Annapolis Area, 24-26, 25-23, 18-25, 25-15, 17-15. Broadfording ended with a 25-19, 25-14 loss to Greater Grace in the match for third.

Cindel Young led the Lions with 13 kills and four aces in the first match and 12 kills and four blocks in the second match. She was named to the All-Tournament Team. Tina Conner recorded 29 kills and Becka Conner had 30 assists for the tournament.

Heritage Academy finished second.
