BOONSBORO - A 74-year-old Brunswick, Md., woman died Saturday morning following a two-car accident northwest of Boonsboro, Maryland State Police said.

Betty June Grams, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the crash, died at Washington County Hospital shortly after the 9:16 a.m. accident, Trooper First Class Debbie Hamby said.

A 2003 Buick Century driven by Robert Lee Grams, 75, of Brunswick, was southbound on Mill Point Road approaching Md. 68 in Boonsboro when it failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by an oncoming vehicle, Hamby said.

A 1999 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Gregory Dean Parks, 47, of Boonsboro, was westbound on Md. 68 approaching the intersection when Grams struck Parks' car at the intersection, she said.

Robert Lee Grams, the husband of Betty June Grams, was listed in fair condition at the hospital Sunday evening, a hospital spokesman said.

The spokesman said Parks was treated at Washington County Hospital and released, although he would not confirm the date or time of the release.

All involved in the accident were wearing their seat belts, Hamby said.

Sgt. Rick Narron, also of the Hagerstown barrack, said no further details of the incident or investigation were available late Sunday.
